Privacy Policy

cadtomesh is a static website. It converts files inside your browser and has no user accounts, no upload endpoint and no server-side conversion service.

Files you convert

When you drop a file onto the converter, the browser reads it into memory. CAD surfaces are tessellated by a WebAssembly build of the OpenCascade geometry kernel; mesh formats are parsed by the loaders shipped with three.js. The result is written as a local download through a blob URL. The file and its contents are not transmitted to us or to any third-party conversion service, and we do not retain copies.

Data stored in your browser

The converter keeps a per-session counter in sessionStorage under the key cm.sess. It records file names, a byte total and a conversion count so the result card can show your session totals. It is cleared when the browser session ends and is never sent anywhere. A service worker caches the page shell and the assets it has already fetched so the site can still open without a network connection after a first visit; you can remove this cache at any time through your browser's site-data controls.

Network requests

Loading a page requests its HTML, the small interface script and, only after you choose a file, the converter engine and geometry kernel. Preview rendering is local WebGL. There are no advertising, analytics or fingerprinting scripts on this site.

Third-party components

The converter bundles OCCT and occt-import-js (LGPL 2.1) and three.js (MIT). These libraries run locally in your browser; they do not send your files to their authors.
